Our client is a family-owned custom pool and spa builder in the North Dallas suburbs. Stellar Media Marketing has run its social media since February 2025 as its fractional social media director, managing five channels and building a content system around the company's owner. How a North Texas pool builder built trust before the first call
The challenge

A custom pool is one of the biggest purchases a family makes, with builds starting around $75,000. Homeowners in North Texas don't pick a builder from one ad. They watch, compare and look for proof that a builder is trustworthy long before they ask for a quote.

The company had the proof: more than 20 years of experience, owners who live in the community they build in, and finished backyards that speak for themselves. What it didn't have was a consistent way to show it. Its Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages existed, but nothing was being posted. There was no TikTok account and no active Google Business Profile, so homeowners searching for a builder found little proof that the company was busy, local and trusted.

The goal was clear: turn the company's work and its owner into a steady, trusted presence that keeps the company top of mind until homeowners are ready to build.

The strategy

Kelly built one system across five channels, with the owner as the trusted guide and the homeowner as the hero of every story.

  • StoryBrand content on Facebook and Instagram: 2 to 6 posts a week mixing Reels, carousels and project spotlights. Captions put the family's dream backyard first and the builder's craftsmanship second.
  • The owner on camera: planned video shoots with the owner, turned into Reels, TikToks and on-screen text overlays. Homeowners get to know the builder before they ever call.
  • Every finished build becomes content: each project gets its own captions, carousel and location tag across the North Dallas suburbs, so local buyers see work in their own neighborhoods.
  • Local search visibility: ongoing Google Business Profile updates and SEO-optimized YouTube titles and descriptions.
  • An AI comment assistant: a custom-trained assistant answers common questions on Facebook and Instagram (timelines, service area, financing) in the brand's voice and routes estimate requests to the team.
  • Monthly reporting and a year-two plan: results reviewed every month, plus a three-phase year-two strategy (Consolidate, Expand, Accelerate) that earned the renewal.
The results

Over the first 15 months (through April 2026), the client published 650 pieces of content, reached 189K views and turned social into a lead source: 53 leads from Meta.

Year over year

  • Facebook views: 119K (+562%)
  • Instagram views: 70K (+278%)
  • Posts published: 242 on Facebook (+163%) and 408 on Instagram (+304%)
  • Engagement: +41.9% on Facebook, +2.7% on Instagram
  • Followers: 1,514 on Facebook (+2.6%), 3,708 on Instagram

Leads that turned into real conversations

  • Paid Meta ads: 43 leads
  • Organic content: 10 leads
  • Total: 53 leads

Their projects average $70K to $100K. If just 3 to 5 of those 53 leads build, that's $210K to $500K in pool projects. The 43 paid leads came from $2,480 in total ad spend, about $58 per lead.

How the client stacks up against the typical home services business

Frequently asked questions

What does a fractional social media director do for a pool builder?

They own the whole social presence: strategy, content, posting, community management, local search and reporting. For this client, that covers five channels with one point of contact and no agency handoffs.

How long does social media take to work for a high-ticket home service business?

People research a custom pool for months before they call. Consistent content builds trust over that window, which is why this client committed to a second full year. In its first 15 months, this client's social generated 53 leads.

Can social media work for a pool company without a big video team?

Yes. Planned shoot days with the owner on camera, plus photos of every finished build, give the team months of Reels, carousels and project posts.

Do you work with pool and outdoor living companies outside Colorado?

Yes. This client is in North Texas, and Stellar Media Marketing works with home service and outdoor living brands across the country.
