Quick answer: Centennial has two business audiences. Professional firms along the I-25 Tech Center corridor win on LinkedIn, while retailers, restaurants, and home services near The Streets at SouthGlenn win on Facebook, Instagram, and a Google Business Profile posted to weekly. In my last 20 free Colorado audits, 18 businesses had a stale Google Business Profile.

Centennial is not one market. It's a B2B office corridor on the east side and a suburban retail and neighborhood economy on the west side, and your social media should be built for the half you actually sell to.

What makes Centennial different from other Denver suburbs?

Centennial is a young, affluent, highly educated city with an unusually large professional services economy. The U.S. Census Bureau's QuickFacts puts the population at 108,658 as of July 1, 2025, with a median household income of $131,928 and 62.6% of adults 25 and older holding a bachelor's degree or higher.

The city's own 2023 economic development annual report counted 5,999 business establishments and 66,544 workers. Professional and business services made up 25.0% of local employment, the largest share, and the report names Comcast, UnitedHealthcare, and Arrow Electronics among the major employers.

The city is also having a moment. Centennial turned 25 in 2026 and celebrated with a free anniversary event at Centennial Center Park on June 6.

What this means for you: a Centennial buyer is likely a college-educated professional with money to spend and very little patience for generic posts. I'm based just east in Aurora's Southlands area, and I see the same pattern across the southeast metro.

Which platform should a Tech Center professional services firm use?

LinkedIn, first and by a wide margin. If you're a CPA firm, law office, IT provider, commercial lender, staffing agency, or consultant near I-25, your buyers are on LinkedIn during the workday.

The Denver Technological Center itself sits in Denver and Greenwood Village along I-25 between I-225 and Arapahoe Road, with roughly 35,000 workers and about 1,000 tenant companies as of 2023. Centennial's own office parks continue south along I-25. That's a dense professional audience within a few miles of your door.

Pew Research Center found that 53% of Americans with at least a bachelor's degree use LinkedIn, compared with 10% of those with a high school education or less. Pew called it the largest educational gap on any platform it measured. In a city where 62.6% of adults have a degree, that gap works in your favor.

What to post on LinkedIn from the Tech Center:

  • Founder and partner posts, not just the company page. People follow people. Your company page supports; your leaders' profiles do the selling.
  • Plain-English explainers. Colorado tax changes, a new compliance deadline, what a client should ask before signing. Answer the question your prospects Google.
  • Proof with names. Client wins, team hires, and speaking gigs, with permission and specifics.

Which platforms work for SouthGlenn retail, restaurants, and home services?

Facebook, Instagram, and your Google Business Profile, in that combination. These businesses sell to Centennial households, and households find you through search, reviews, and what neighbors share.

The Streets at SouthGlenn, at Arapahoe Road and University Boulevard, replaced the old Southglenn Mall as an open-air, mixed-use center in August 2009. Shoppers there look businesses up on their phones, and that search is where your Google Business Profile either shows up fresh or looks abandoned.

According to Pew Research Center's 2025 social media fact sheet, 71% of U.S. adults use Facebook and 50% use Instagram. For a neighborhood restaurant, boutique, salon, fitness studio, dentist, or HVAC company, that's where the reach is.

This is also where I see businesses fall down. In my last 20 free social media audits for Colorado businesses, 18 had a stale Google Business Profile, and nearly 60% were posting generic or ineffective content. "Happy Monday!" graphics don't bring anyone through your door.

How do the two Centennial audiences compare?

Here's the side-by-side I use when I'm scoping a Centennial client:

  1. Tech Center professional firms: LinkedIn first, Google Business Profile second. Buyers are decision makers researching during work hours. Best content: leader-voice posts, explainers, client proof. Goal: booked consultations and referrals.
  2. SouthGlenn retail and restaurants: Instagram and Facebook first, Google Business Profile weekly. Buyers are local households deciding today or this weekend. Best content: short video, staff faces, events, offers. Goal: foot traffic and reservations.
  3. Neighborhood home services: Facebook and Google Business Profile first, Instagram for project photos. Buyers are homeowners comparing two or three companies. Best content: before and after, reviews, the owner on camera. Goal: quote requests.

Unsure which list you're on? Look at where your last 10 customers came from.

"The biggest mistake I see in Centennial is a Tech Center firm posting like a coffee shop, or a SouthGlenn shop posting like a law firm. Pick the audience you actually sell to, show up where they already are, and give them something specific to Centennial." What local hooks can Centennial businesses post about this fall?

Real local events beat generic holiday graphics every time, because they give neighbors a reason to comment and share.

  • Sip in Centennial, October 17, 2026. The city's community events page lists this outdoor adult tasting event with Colorado beverages, live music, and food trucks at Centennial Center Park from 1 to 5 p.m. Post a weekend roundup or a "where to eat after" guide.
  • Centennial Center Park itself. The 15-acre park at 13050 E. Peakview Ave. has an amphitheater, playground, and the Colorado Statehood Walk. Team photos, family-friendly business spotlights, and "our favorite local spot" posts land well.
  • The 25th anniversary year. "We've served Centennial since..." posts, throwbacks, and customer stories tie your business to the city's milestone.

How often should a Centennial business post?

For most Centennial businesses, two to three quality posts a week on your main platform plus one Google Business Profile post a week is the right starting point. Consistency beats volume.

My Essentials package is built around exactly that: about 12 finished pieces of content a month, weekly Google Business Profile posts, community management, and reporting. It works. For an outdoor kitchen builder I manage, Facebook views doubled to 212,000 in 2025, up 100.9% from 2024, with engagement up 51%. For a custom pool builder, TikTok views doubled to 36,000 and engagement rose 507.6% in the 90 days from June 19 to September 16, 2026.

Is it time to get help with your Centennial social media?

I'm a Fractional Social Media Director with 18 years in social media marketing, and I handle it all myself: strategy, content, posting, and reporting. Most of my clients stay two years or more.

Frequently asked questions

Is LinkedIn worth it for a small Centennial business?

If you sell to other businesses or professionals, yes. Pew Research Center found 53% of college graduates use LinkedIn, and Centennial's workforce skews heavily toward professional and business services. If you sell to households, put that time into Facebook, Instagram, and Google instead.

Do I need a Google Business Profile if I'm in an office park?

Yes. Prospects search your firm's name before they call, and your profile is often the first thing they see. Keep hours, photos, and services current and post at least weekly.

Should a Centennial restaurant be on TikTok?

It can help, but start with Instagram, Facebook, and your Google Business Profile, where local diners already look. Add TikTok once you have a steady supply of short video and someone to post it.

How much does social media management cost in Centennial?

My packages start at $1,200 a month for Essentials, which includes strategy, about 12 finished pieces of content, publishing, community management, weekly Google Business Profile posts, and reporting. Fractional director engagements start at $1,500 a month.

Can a Centennial business get social media help from someone local?

Yes. I'm based in Aurora's Southlands area, a short drive from both the Tech Center and SouthGlenn, and I offer content media days to capture photo and video on site.
